[edit] History

sometimes called "The No Name" or "No Name Band"

Formed in December 2001, No Name is one of the big names among the Chinese punk Old Skull bands. At the end of 2003, the music-recording company TimeString Records incorporated the song No Name by The No Name band into an underground album which in turn, surprised everyone. In 0204, they made and released a new demo CD, We Don't Need That Shit!! consisting of many new songs which they had made during the time period of 2001 to 2004. In 2004 Yang Fan (guitarist) and Qu Chen (drummer) leave the band, but Hu Kai and Xie Jing join to replace them.

In 2005, 2 of their songs were released in a Korean punk album after which the band became professional. Their music became much more mature. The No Name band released their new EP CD Get Free EP in March 2006.

February 2008 their song Chaos Changan is included in X-Music Magazine no. 359.

No Name are THE punks of Xi'an, representing and living the punk idea since several years and their music certainly reflects their thinking and attitude towards life.

On May 1st, 2010, they performed at the Midi Music Festival 2010.
