History
Xiaoli is from Handan, Hebei Province. He came to Beijing in 1997. His songs have been called "Chinese Folk Songs". Xiaoli uses very simple but ironic languages to describe the things that may happen to everyone during daily life. Xiaoli is suspicious about the dreams he longed for and he is disappointed about the reality. He speaks the truth about the dying out humanity of individuals and the whole society, ruthlessly, painfully and helplessly.
In July 2002 Wan Xiaoli signs a contract with Badhead Music (Modern Sky subsidiary).
His first album Go Here Go There has been released in December 2002, which was a live album recorded at the River Bar.
August 9th 2009, he performed during the InMusic Festival 2009 on the Zhangbei Grasslands on the Stage 2.
