History

2004: The start

Xi'an-based punk rock band tributing their original works to Rancid. Sucker stands for Sunshine in USA California: keep my eager heart to Rancid!!!

Influenced by Rancid and Clash, Sucker was originally formed by vocalist Yang Fan in his home town Luzhou, Province Sichuan. After recording his first demo tapes he came to Xi'An where he met musicians of the current line up (2007). The music turned more melodic with a certain kick of ska and multi elemental features.

2007: The re-union

In 2007, the band re-united under Yang Fan in Xi'an. Lineup at that time: Yang Fan 楊帆（Vo&G）, 管菲（Vo&G）, 二娃（B） and 高天（Dr）. They performed a heavily RANCID- and CLASH-influenced ska punk. On April 14th, they performed in the 月亮鑰匙 bar. June 25th, they performed in the 月亮鑰匙 bar as support act to French band MICROFILM. July 25th, they rocked the TIGER TIGER bad. At that time 馬多 of No Name helped out on the guitars. After that 富智千 (Attitude) joined on Guitars & Chorus. Lineup therefore: Yang Fan 楊帆（Vo&G）, Zhang Hui 張惠（B&Cho）, 富智千（G&Cho）, 馬凱（The Messes）（Dr&Cho). On August 11th, they performed in the 月亮鑰匙 bar as opening band for S.A.W. and Four Five. August 25th, they performed in the 無界銷售中心 during the 無界揺滾 music festival. September 15th, they performed in the 月亮鑰匙 bar as support act to Joyside. October 31st, they rocked the Starlive as support act to French band ・Cheb Samir and Black Souls of Leviathan and Canadian Skip Jensen. November 16th, they performed in the TIGER bar as support act to The K. November 18th, they performed in the Starlive as supprt act for German punk band No Opinion. November 21st, they rocked the 月亮鑰匙 bar, this time unplugged. December 9th, they performed in the 月亮鑰匙 opening for R.W.F. December 22nd, they performed in the Starlive.

2009

March 4th 2009, they performed at the YuYinTang. According to Andy Best: Sucker launched into their energetic Rancid clone show, which pleased fans of Rancid.^[1]
