History

Silent G was formed 2004 by guitarist Ghost (Luo Yong) and singer Danmu. In 2005, Silent G recorded their first album Jack in the Box in Wuhan. The album is a mix of noise and melodies. Their music balances out its extremist tendencies with the occasional sidestep into melodic beauty and infectious indie pop between folk, dark wave, and industrial music. In 2006, the band started playing live in Beijing. Today, the band consists of a keyboard player, a cellist, a guitarist, a bassist and a singer. August 2007, the their song Love Mime is released in X-Music Magazine no. 347.

SILENT G乐队最初由编曲老罗和主唱丹牧组建，于2008年1月在摩登天空的LUDI厂牌下发行了两人于2005年创作并制作的第一张专辑《JACK-IN-A-BOX》。 　　因为在旋律营造上的天生敏感， “Silent G寂”的音乐具有相当的可听性，在编曲上也非常强调层次，强调不同乐器的组合，以及诸如非洲口琴、印度西塔琴这样的世界音乐元素的融合，让原本应该很黑暗、很绝望的音乐形式，呈现出一种具有魔幻兼童话的色彩。用《音乐之声22期》的话说，其音乐是在“迷幻的骨架中注入暗潮的低调冰冷、新古典的优雅大气、世界音乐的异域风情以及少剂量死亡民谣的绝望气息，营造出一种迷离而低温的媚态。”
