It all started with meeting at a show at Nameless Highland in Beijing in September of 2005. Liu Ke, David and Wang Meng met for the first time and talked about getting a Metal band going in Beijing.

Through many trips to the Gongzhufen and Zizhu Bridge studios things began to formulate and the sounds were only the small part of what came out of this.

We certainly have had our ups and downs. We changed drummers twice, auditioned countless singers and dealt with internal issues amongst ourselves such as work, traveling, disagreements, fights, and so much more. In the end, we have come to a point to which we are satisfied with what we are doing, who we each are, who we are as a group and what our music has to say.

Of course we all have our jobs to sustain us in life and those help us to further achieve our goals in music. We work hard at what we love because it is something that all of us can enjoy. Until the day we die we will always be a mobster....

September-December 2005:

First time to meet while attending a metal show at Nameless Highland in Beijing. First practices to follow with David, Liu Ke and Wang Meng.

November 2005-May 2006:

Work with New drummer(Joey) and created 5 core songs. Slave to a Lie, Murder, Intro, Manifesto, and Rage.

May 2006-December 2006:

Replaced Joey with Richard and auditioned at least 15 singers from around the Beijing area. Thank you all for coming. Hail the coming of Robert from Germany.

Joey: We had a discussion with him about his personal goals in music and felt that he wanted to do more than what we could offer him. He is an excellent drummer. However, he wanted to pursue a professional career in music and we did not wish to contain him. Best wishes always go with him.

Prepared an demo for the 2007 Midi Festival in Haidian Park. David traveled to America to see his family. Robert was in Europe.

January 2007-May 2007:

Small shows were held in 13 Club without Robert leading the way. Another departure of a drummer. Richard, our close friend, was replaced by Soldier.

Richard is one of our best friends. It was a hard decision to do this and we believed and encouraged him to continue his pursuit of music.

Studio Work: Bushwackers

Played at The New Get Lucky Bar festival with Suffocated, Spring and Autumn and some other bands.

May 2007:

Midi Music Festival 2007: This was our goal all the time. After working in the studio for so long we finally achieved something that can be called successful and worth our efforts. This show was very exciting and just pure fun and lovable. We will return for 2008.

October 2007:

participated also on Modern Sky Festival 2007 on the Painkiller Stage

Novemeber 2007:

Recording session for a full length CD in Beijing Music 7 Studios with the house producer Xiao Fan (Mr. Grant Master Cut). Mix and Master will be done in Germany at Black Sound Studios.

2008 and later:

The debut CD is planed to be released on Mort Productions in May. They will also play on Midi Music Festival 2008 on the Painkiller Stage. At the End of the year, band manager Yang stepped back due to personal reasons. Soon after interior differences in music occured between band members, resulting Wang Meng quitting the band. Wang Xiaoyi came in as replacement but this line up couldnt hold for long. Also vocalist Rob finds less time for band activities due to his Football Club IFFC. In the end, Raging Mob stopped being active as a band. Band founder Liu Ke came back from his aboard year from Korea and lined up together with guitar player David and Drummer Soldier to continue where Raging Mob inofficially has ended in 2009.

Begin of 2010:

Guitarplayer David quit the band leaving only Bass player Liu Ke and Drummer Soldier Zhao still keep on doing projects together. Soon later vocalist Robert joint back to the line up. Liu Ke brought two younger guitar players Huio Guanke and Jin Peng into Raging Mob from his other band projects. With this new line up they play different club shows and participated on the 2010 Metal Battle China band competition and made it to the final where they in the end won as Best Chinese Metal Band 2010.
