History
The 2007 festival happened from October 2nd to 4th in the Haidian Park, featuring mostly Chinese artists, including American outfit the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. According to media sources, up to 10000 music fans joined the festival.[1]
The 2008 festival happened from September 30th to October 2nd and featured only Chinese artists with He Yong, Zhang Chu and New Pants on the main stage. Before the official announcement, it was rumoured that Lou Reed, Blonde Redhead and Bright Eyes might perform and also a possible cooperation with the Midi Music Festival 2008 was anticipated, however failed to happen.[2]
2009, September 30th, news broke out[3] that all international acts were cancelled by the local PSB, a news that was confirmed on October 1st[4]. However the festival is planned to happen otherwise as scheduled on October 4th-7th.
