History

Born through periods of casual jamming during Nu-Metal Hong Kong band 蹙’s (tsuk7) resting period. The amorphous Hong Kong band known as 意色樓 (An id signal) is synonymous with its Chinese homophone namesake (Stream of Consciousness). Championing a loose playing style that treads the thin line between novel expression to dissonant chaos, the band is nothing short of inspiring.

Originally formed by tsuk7’s singer 梁穎禮 (Lai) and drummer 堅 (Kin) and Funk Rock outfit SIQ’s bass player 庭 (Ting). The band would later be joined by guitarist 浩南 (Ho Nam), who came from 神化砵砵車 (Mental Vehicle), a more technical player himself would bring a new level of musicianship to the band. After settling down to a permanent line-up, the band signed with indie record label Chisel My Records and released their debut 相識但陌生 (Known Strangers) in 2007, the release was an inventive and unique release to the local music scene. Surprisingly enough, the singles from the album landed them onto the weekly charts of popular radio station 903, which is quite a feat considering the challenging nature of their music.

Shortly after the albums release drummer Kin would leave the band and be replaced by longtime friend of the band — Zams. Since then the band has remained active in the live circuit while working on a follow up album to Known Strangers.
